In a switching device in which an electromagnet device and main circuit contact sections of the switching device are arranged coaxially, because the main circuit contact sections of the switching device, an insulated rod, a drive rod, a contact pressure spring, a release spring, and an electromagnet are all arranged coaxially, the axial dimension of the switching device is large. To solve such a problem, in a switching device of the invention, some of the following elements are arranged in the same area in the axial direction: main circuit contact sections of the switching device, an insulated rod, a drive rod, a contact pressure spring, a release spring, and an electromagnet. Particularly the release spring and the electromagnet of an electromagnet device are arranged in the same area in the axial direction to reduce the axial dimension of the switching device. The switching device uses the electromagnet device. |
