PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel power storage device in which a radical compound is used for a negative electrode.SOLUTION: A coin type power storage device 20 includes: a cup-shaped case 21; a positive electrode 22 having a positive electrode active material and provided in the lower part of the case 21; a negative electrode 23 having a negative electrode active material and provided at a position facing the positive electrode 22 via a separator 24; a gasket 25 formed of an insulation material; a sealing plate 26 disposed at an opening part of the case 21 and tightly sealing the case 21 via the gasket 25; and an ion conductive medium 27 interposed between the positive electrode 22 and the negative electrode 23. The coin type power storage device 20 includes a radical compound capable of reversibly performing oxidation and reduction, in the negative electrode 23. The radical compound preferably contains a group 14 element, specifically silicon, germanium, tin or the like. |
