PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapsed type lens barrel that allows a simple configuration to easily attain an arrangement of an optical element required in a retreating status of a retreating lens group upon a transition to a non-photographing status and in a photographing status as avoiding interference with a light regulation member and the like arranged between a non-retreating lens group and the retreating lens group. ! SOLUTION: In a lens barrel 100, a light shield member 180 is attached to a slide base 170 housing a second lens group 120 via an urging spring 190. The slide base 170 is moved along an optical axis O, and only by releasing pressure of a pressure member 141 against the light shield member 180, a fixed gap can be held so that, upon the transition to the non-photographing status, the light shield member 180 is not interfered with the second lens group 120 and a second lens group frame 150. !
