<p>With regard to a paper drying device (20) and an inkjet recording device (10) of one embodiment of the present invention, the paper drying device (20) dries paper (P) while conveying the paper along a conveyance path and is provided with the following: a leading end gripping means (102) that is attached to an endless chain (64C), travels along the conveyance path due to the chain (64C) being rotationally driven, and grips the leading end of the paper (P); a suction plate (66) that is disposed along the conveyance path with a fixed space between itself and the chain (64C), and that suctions the back surface of the paper; a leading end guide (118) that is in contact with the back surface of the paper (P) until the back surface is suctioned by the suction plate (66) from the leading end of the paper; and a drying means (68) that dries, from the front side of the paper (P), the paper conveyed along the conveyance path. Due to this configuration, by stabilizing the conveyance posture of the paper, the drying conditions can be stabilized and the occurrence of uneven drying and curling can be prevented.</p> |
