<p>The present invention relates to a charging device and an electric vehicle including the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the charging device includes: a converter which converts input AC power to DC power in a charging mode; and a controlling part which controls the converter. The converter includes: a motor; a switching part which provides input AC power to the motor by switching operation; and an inverter. The inverter converts from AC power of a battery to DC power by switching operation of tertiary switching devices to operate the motor, in a motor operation mode. In the charging mode, the inverter converts electric power supplied from the motor to predetermined DC power by operation of two of tertiary switching devices. Therefore, the charging device can easily perform a charging process using AC power.</p> |
