The present invention relates to a movable bulge detecting apparatus and a continuous casting method using the same. The movable bulge detecting apparatus is installed on a continuous casting apparatus to detect formation of a bulge, and includes a first guide which is arranged above a segment of the continuous casting apparatus in the width direction of a cast; a bulge detector which is connected with a first guide and is arranged to contact the surface of the cast; and a first driving device which transfers the bulge detector along the first guide. The movable bulge detecting apparatus can detect the bulge of the cast, generated in the width direction during a continuous casting process, in real time. |
