<p>A method of reducing the likelihood of a deep vein thrombosis incident for a person sitting while travelling that comprises providing a foot massager 11 accessible to the traveller. Also claimed is an aeroplane seat 10, on which the foot massager is mounted, the massager being movable between a stowed and useable positions. The foot massager 11 may also include a frame 13 on which a number of rows of wooden or plastic rollers 14 are mounted. Each roller 14 may be provided with a plurality of projecting formations. Further claimed is a means for reducing the likelihood of a vehicle passenger suffering a deep vein thrombosis incident, said means comprising a foot massager 11 mounted beneath a vehicle seat 10 and arranged for movement between a stowed and an accessible position.</p> |
