The envelope (2) has a main surface (12), and a bottom (14) defining an interior void space (16) and comprising a bottom surface coated with an adhesive (30). A closure flap (18) has an adhesive-coated surface (40) for bonding the flap to the bottom surface. The flap has a storage fold (36) that separates the flap into a proximal portion (32) and a distal portion (34) having a surface coated with an adhesive closure tab. The distal portion is folded over the proximal portion in a storage position before using the envelope, where the distal portion is located on a side of the bottom.
