PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lead-acid storage battery capable of contributing to the improvement in life performance by finding out proper relationship between density of a positive electrode active material and the addition amount of barium.SOLUTION: In the lead-acid storage battery, barium of 10 ppm or more and 1000 ppm or less on an average value per one plate is contained in a positive electrode plate after the chemical conversion, the density of the active material of the positive electrode plate after the chemical conversion is 3.1 g/cc or more and 4.2 g/cc or less on the average value per one plate and when the content of barium is X, and the density of the active material is Y, -0.29logX+3.6≤Y≤-0.29logX+4.7 is satisfied. |
