<p>The warmer (10) has a control device (34) connected to two drivable switches (48a, 48b) for synchronized transfer of the switches into an open switching state in dependence on voltage. Inversely phased alternating voltage is applied to multiple resistance heating elements (18) during a tempering mode. In-phase alternating voltages are applied to the resistance heating elements during the tempering mode. Compensation alternating voltage is inversely phased with respect to alternating voltage and applied to a heat exchanger (20) using a compensation circuit (30). The compensation circuit is an LC resonant circuit. The drivable switches are field-effect transistors such as MOSFETs, relays and bidirectional triode thyristors such as TRIAC. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a fluid warmer.</p> |
