The present invention relates to a security yarn allowing dual identification, a method for manufacturing the same, and an anti-forgery article using the same. The security yarn of the present invention contains an X-ray absorbing material in one component of a biocomponent fiber structure and contains one pigment alone or a mixture of pigments selected from the group consisting of visible or non-visible UV reactive fluorescent pigment, IR-reactive pigment, and IR-absorptive pigment, in the other component thereof; thereby allowing easy identification during X-ray irradiation as well as identification according to the infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths. Furthermore, according to the present invention, the security yarn is designed such that the specific gravity of a composite fiber is 1 or greater and one component of the composite fiber is formed of a hydrophilic polymeric resin, thereby improving water dispersibility during paper-making, so that the security yarn is introduced and processed in the paper making process, thus being easily applied to anti-forgery of bills, vouchers, securities, and passports. |
