<p>PURPOSE: An image display device is provided to increase a range capable of recognizing an image by an observer if a distance to the observer is changed. CONSTITUTION: An image display device (2A) comprises a display panel (20), a lens part (10), an air layer (33), and an adjustment unit (41). The display panel two-dimensionally arranges multiple unit pixel sets and includes multiple partial pixels in the multiple unit pixel sets. The lens unit includes multiple unit lenses which are periodically arranged in parallel and prepares the unit lens in response to the unit pixel set and forms an image of an object plane of the display panel on an image plane. The air layer is formed between the lens unit and the display panel and varies thickness. The adjustment unit adjusts the thickness of the air layer.</p> |
