The pneumatic tire for heavy lorries in radial construction with a bracing structure in at least three plies (15), has one of the bracing plies in the form of a folded bracing ply, and the bracing structure has at least one additional conventionally constructed bracing plies (17,18). The folded bracing ply, apart from at most a ply provided as an additional bracing ply, is the widest bracing ply and has ply sections (15b) which are laterally folded back from a continuous ply section or from two concentrically spaced apart ply sections (15a).
