The double flow screw spindle machine (1) has inlet chambers (11,12) that are connected with the separator by separate lines for the gas phase and the liquid phase. A switching unit is provided for interrupting the supply of liquid to an inlet chamber. The outlets are arranged in the separator for connection lines of the liquid phase at different levels.
