A data centre building includes at least one rack room 140 having a plurality of rack storage areas, each rack storage area accommodates a rack 143 in which a plurality of electronic components may be housed, one or more controllable air circulation systems, and at least one aisle 144 (figure 4) in the rack room, the aisle being adjacent to a rack storage area, the at least one aisle includes a doorway to the aisle, and an access door arrangement including a door 170 (figure 19), the door arrangement has a controllable air intake 142, the building is so arranged that, in use, cooling air flows via said doorway into or from the aisle when the door is in its closed position and the flow of air through the door, when in its closed position, is controllable by means of the controllable air intake. The intake may be a vent. The intake may comprise a plurality of blades moved by motors. In the event of failure the vent fails open. |
