A cross-talk compensation plug 1 for a telecommunications terminal module for high transmission rates comprises a housing 2, contact elements 8 and a coupling element. The housing 2 accommodates elements of the cross-talk compensation plug 1 and provides an interface 3 for establishing mechanical connection with the terminal module. The contact elements 8 establish electrical connection with contacts of the terminal module. The coupling element electrically couples at least two contacts 8 with each other to reduce cross-talk. The coupling element may be an electronic component (e.g. capacitor) or a combination of copper tracks on a printed circuit board 9. The plug 1 may be a single pair plug (as in figure 1) or a double pair plug (as in figure 2). The plug 1 may also comprise an overvoltage protection element (e.g. gas discharge tube 11), an overcurrent protection element, a display and/or a test module. |
