<p>The actuator (30) has a coupling element (49) for converting rotation of an input shaft (42) around an axis into translation of a countershaft (46) in a longitudinal direction (L) towards an unlocked position of the countershaft when the countershaft is in a locked position. The coupling element converts rotation of the input shaft around the axis into rotation of the countershaft around the axis when the countershaft is in the unlocked position. A spring (100) i.e. compression spring, returns the countershaft into the locked position when the input shaft is fixed in rotation around the axis. The input shaft is a direct-drive dog clutch.</p> |
