The present invention relates to a method for reducing GPS power consumption by using an acceleration sensor of a mobile device. More specifically, the method for reducing GPS power consumption by using an acceleration sensor can effectively adjust the measurement frequency of a GPS sensor of the mobile device to reduce the battery power consumption of the mobile device while maintaining the precision of the mobile device determining the current location. The present invention can reduce the battery power consumption due to the usage of the GPS sensor while maintaining a high level of the precision regarding determining the location of the mobile device. |
