An imaging MTI (moving target indicator) radar or the like transmits pulses towards a target and receives returns. A matched filter correlates a return against the previous transmitted signal, and the previous return against the present transmitted signal, and subtracts the results to form a difference signal which shows moving targets but not clutter, and is resistant to variations between pulses. The phase of the difference signal may be corrected in accordance with the product of the two transmitted signals. |
