The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring emotions. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for measuring emotions includes: a first and a second electrocardiogram (ECG) sensing unit which measures an ECG of each of two persons whose skin are in contact with each other and outputs ECG signals corresponding to the measured ECGs, respectively; a voltage difference measurement unit which calculates the voltage difference between the ECG signals respectively outputted by the first and second ECG sensing units and outputs a mutual coupling voltage difference signal; a signal converting unit which samples the mutual coupling voltage difference signal outputted by the voltage difference measurement unit and outputs a digital state of the mutual coupling voltage difference signal with a plurality of sampling points; and a mutual coupling emotion measurement unit which measures a mutual coupling pulse, a mutual coupling pulse variation, a mutual coupling ECG peak, and a mutual coupling spectrum using the mutual coupling voltage difference signal outputted by the signal converting unit, and calculates at least one emotion between the two persons as an index using the measured mutual coupling pulse, mutual coupling pulse variation, mutual coupling ECG peak, and mutual coupling spectrum, wherein the at least one emotion may be at least one among excitement, affection, attention and favor. |
