An apparatus and a method for registering a bookmark in a portable terminal are provided to select a website to be registered in a mobile terminal and supply and register the website to the mobile terminal through a bookmark server and a push server. A bookmark registering device(110) transmits bookmark information of a website to be registered by a bookmark server if a user requests a mobile bookmark of the website. If a bookmark server(130) receives a request of registering a bookmark, user information and bookmark information are transmitted to a push server to perform a bookmark registering process. A push server(140) transmits bookmark information to a mobile terminal through a wireless network. If the mobile terminal receives a bookmark registering request from a push server, the mobile terminal stores bookmark information and outputs an icon included in bookmark information to a standby screen. |
