The present invention relates to a wave power generator and, more specifically, to a wave power generator for a ship and a ship including the same. According to the present invention, provided is a wave power generator including a buoyant body which conducts vertical and linear reciprocation motion along change in a water level; a balancing weight which conducts vertical and linear reciprocation motion in response to the vertical motion of the buoyant body; a motion converter for converting the vertical and linear reciprocation motion of the buoyant body and the balancing weight into a bidirectional rotary motion; and a power generator for generating electric power using the bidirectional rotary motion of the motion converter.
