The present invention relates to a control sensor for a wireless network security system. The control sensor includes a communications unit for communicating with a wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS) server; a sensing unit for monitoring a plurality of communication terminals including an access point (AP) and a station connected to a wireless network; a blocking unit for transmitting a blocking packet in order to allow a connection between the communication terminal and the network to be blocked when the sensing unit senses a fault of the communication terminal; and a control unit for controlling the communications unit, the sensing unit and the blocking unit, wherein the sensing and blocking units are provided as a network card, which accesses to the wireless network, and arranged in parallel. Thus, a configuration of monitoring the wireless network is accomplished independent of and in parallel with the configuration of transmitting a control signal to the wireless network, such that the monitoring process and the control process are performed almost at the same time, thereby improving the processing speed of the control sensor. |
