A wireless communication device according to the present invention is for relaying a signal between a base station and a mobile station, including: a receiver that receives the signal from the base station or the mobile station; a transmitter that transmits the signal to the base station or the mobile station; and a changeover unit that switches an operation mode to a receiving mode for receiving the signal from the base station or the mobile station, or a transmitting mode for transmitting the signal to the base station or the mobile station, wherein the changeover unit switches from the transmitting mode to the receiving mode in a subframe set to an MBSFN subframe by the wireless communication device among subframes subsequent to a subframe in which a NACK for requiring retransmission by the base station is transmitted.

A wireless communication device for relaying a signal between a base station and a mobile station, the wireless communication device comprising: a receiver that is configured to receive the signal from the base station or the mobile station; a transmitter that is configured to transmit the signal to the base station or the mobile station; and a changeover unit that is configured to switch an operation mode to a reception mode for receiving the signal from the base station, or to a transmission mode for transmitting the signal to the mobile station, wherein the changeover unit is configured to switch the operation mode from the transmission mode of an access link to the mobile station to the reception mode of a backhaul link from the base station in a subframe that is originally assigned for the transmission mode and is set to an MBSFN subframe by the wireless communication device among subframes subsequent to a subframe in which the changeover unit transmits a NACK to the base station for requiring a retransmission by the base station, wherein the base station notifies the changeover unit of the subframe set to an MBSFN subframe during which the retransmission will occur prior to the retransmission.
