1. A method of making a copolymer comprising:
polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising a first monomer having a non-aromatic carbon-carbon double bond and a second monomer having a non-aromatic carbon-carbon double bond and a functional group comprising a heteroatom in the presence of an activator and a catalyst of formula (IV) wherein M is an early transition metal, X is a leaving group, R5 is independently at each occurrence a C4-C10 hydrocarbyl, R4 is independently at each occurrence a hydrogen or C1-C10 hydrocarbyl, and Ar2 is independently at each occurrence a C6-C12 aromatic hydrocarbyl.
