Disclosed are a method for controlling a convergence angle of a stereo camera by using a scaler and a stereo camera thereof. According to the present invention, convergence angle control can be performed through image processing using a scaler without using a special mechanical configuration in the stereo camera in which optical axes are disposed in parallel. As a result, the stereo camera of the present invention can have a simple structure and perform convergence angle control through a stable method. Especially, a convergence angle can be controlled in a state that a camera module is already manufactured, such as a broadcast camera, and control for the camera module is impossible.
