Method and apparatus for securing an electrode

A system for securing at least one electrode to an anatomy is provided. The system can include a first plate, which can include at least one first passage. The at least one first passage can be configured to receive a lead of the at least one electrode. The system can also include a second plate configured to move relative to the first plate. The movement of the second plate relative to the first plate can couple the second plate to the first plate such that the second plate at least partially occludes the at least one passage of the first plate to secure the lead of the at least one electrode to the anatomy.

1. A system configured to secure an electrode to an anatomy comprising:
a first plate having a lower surface for engaging the anatomy, an upper surface opposite to the lower surface, a resilient member attached to and extending from the upper surface of the first plate and a lead passage offset from the resilient member and adapted to receive a lead of the electrode; a second plate having a concave shape with a first lower surface and second upper surface and a central channel extending through the first lower surface and the second upper surface of the second plate and configured for coupling with the resilient member so that coupling the second plate to the first plate compresses the concave shape of the second plate from a first radius to a second radius and adapted to secure the lead of the electrode relative to the anatomy; and wherein the resilient member bifurcates into first and second and upwardly, extending members separated by a slot, each upwardly extending member defining a lip at an end thereof, and wherein the resilient member passes through the central channel from the first lower surface to the second upper surface of the second plate so that the lips of the first and second upwardly extending members engage opposing portions of the second upper surface of the second plate outside and around of the central channel to couple the second plate to the first plate.
