A method of producing a fusion polypeptide for treating a cell proliferative disorder in a mammal, the fusion polypeptide comprising a cancer cell targeting agent that targets mammalian cancer cells covalently attached to a channel-forming moiety so as to have an anti-cell proliferative activity on mammalian cancer cells, wherein said channel forming moiety is a channel-forming peptide or channel-forming fragment thereof that is selected from the group consisting of an E1, Ia, Ib, A, K or N colicin, the method comprising: culturing a host cell such that said fusion polypeptide is produced, wherein said host cell comprises a vector comprising a nucleic acid molecule encoding the fusion polypeptide.
