<p>The orthopedic appliance contains the hinged splint working in bending and moving in the direction of flexure-extension of the toes. The rotation axis of the hinge device matches the axis of the major joint of the great toe in the said direction. The splint working in bending consists of the hinged first side and the second side capable of rotating around the axis with the aid of the hinge. The force is transferred with the aid of the ring bandages made of the flexible elastic material resistant to the radial stretching. The first ring bandage embraces metatarsus and the splint working in bending. The second ring bandage embraces the great toe and the peripheral part of the splint working in bending. In addition, the appliance contains the gel cushion connected with the second side of the splint facing the internal side of the foot.</p> |
