A method of refining steel in a CCM tundish consists in controlling metal flow structure coming from a pouring ladle, and its blowing by inert gas from the bottom. In addition, the metal flow is directed from the tundish bottom to the "refining slag - molten metal" interface at an anglerelative to the vertical axis in the direction of the side end wall of the tundish, and an inert gas is supplied to the cross section of the tundish located at a distancem from its middle section, in the form of a vertical flow of gas bubbles distributed on the section with a total flow rate reduced to the environmental conditions and equal to 0.75÷1.0 of the volume flow rate of the liquid steel. |
