REFERENCE SIGNAL FOR TIME AND/OR FREQUENCY TRACKING IN A WIRELESS NETWORK

A method and a device in a base station include a tracking reference signal (TRS) in a downlink sub frame. The method includes a step of including a TRS in the downlink sub frame with frequency density which has at least one resource element among resource elements in the TRS sub frame and generating the TRS sub frame. Also, the method includes a step of periodically transmitting the TRS sub frame among different sub frames which have no TRS.
