The present invention relates to a golf swing classification apparatus and to a method using a fuzzy system, wherein the apparatus includes: a body joint extraction module detecting body joint information from a sensor to extract a coordinate of both hands from the body joint information; a golf club detecting and head chasing module detecting a golf club and a golf club head on the basis of the coordinate of the both hands; and a golf swing motion classification module classifying golf swing motion by applying fuzzy logic so as to improve recognition ability for the golf swing motion. Thus, analysis with respect to sports motion in each section can be conducted in more detail.
