The object of the present invention is to protect the display part and the display reading part from light, heat and high-voltage of the lamp on the lighting apparatus to manage using condition and history of the discharge lamp by reading the lamp information. The light, electromagnetic wave and heat from the discharge lamp are screened by way that the stem holder 40 to hold the stem 40 of the discharge lamp is constructed of the shield object 50 to be cooled forcedly with temperature control medium. The display reading part 60 to read the individual information of the discharge lamp displayed on the display part 30 is furnished in the shield object 50. The display part 30 at the top of the stem 20 comes into the shield object 50 when the stem 20 is inserted to the stem holder 40 to hold the lamp. Strong high-voltage starter pulse at the beginning of lighting of the discharge lamp does not affect the display reading part 60 as it is insulated electrically from the stem 20. The information displayed on the display part 30 is read with the display reading part 60. The lamp information can be read reliably all over the using period as the display part 30 and the display reading part 60 are shielded from the light, heat and high voltage at the lighting time of the discharge lamp with the shield object 50. |
