A method of weightless calibration of platform scales by means of portable mechanisms of force application with force setting devices and reference sensors consists in that the object being weighed is placed over the load-receiving platform of the scales, this is equal by weight, e.g., to the upper limit of the value of given measurement range. The object being weighed is installed to bearings arranged out of the load-receiving platform of the scales being verified, the portable mechanisms of force application with force sensors and the reference sensors are placed between the bottom of the object being weighed and the load-receiving platform of the scales. Measurement of set loads with reference sensors in the process of the cycle of calibration is carried out through application of forces directly to the load-receiving platform of the scales by means of the mechanisms of force application of the portable force setting devices. By forces acting in vertical direction fixed values of forces that load or reload the load-receiving platform within the set range of measurements are set by means of portable force setting devices, with comparison of the results of the measurements for the scales obtained to the readings of the reference sensors, with determination of the scale error. |
