The present invention relates to a signal detection device of a portable radiation detector, which detects only a radiation signal among the signals detected by the radiation detector; and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the signal detection device of the radiation detector generates high voltage with less noise by oscillating a sine wave, suppresses a noise signal included in a detection signal detected in the radiation detector by the high voltage, amplifies the radiation detection signal, and removes noise included in the detection signal so as to detect only the radiation signal.
