The invention relates to metallurgical equipment. The safety spring-ball clutch for connection of two coaxial shafts installed with gap between the ends has at one of the shafts a driven ring with a set of spring-supported balls and a bearing cup with respective number of prismatic grooves, and on the other shaft a drive half-clutch connected to the bearing cup. According to the invention, the ring and the bearing cup are placed on the bushing. To receive axial forces and to form power lock in the clutch the ring is in contact with the collar of the bushing at one side, and the bearing cup – with the bearing ring placed at its other side. Besides that, the clutch has axial arrangement of springs with balls. The clutch can transfer large torques, makes it possible to prevent destruction of bearings of shafts, it can automatically restore after removal of causes of overload. |
