A digging working element of a root-harvesting machine is made as a grate, which consists of longitudinal and transversal rods connected therebetween. The transversal rods comprise bushings, mounted in such a manner as to allow rotating thereof, which are arranged between the longitudinal rods. The transversal rods are made as concave in the initial part of the working element and straight in end part thereof. The longitudinal rods are made as those concave in initial part thereof and that basic, and smoothly bent in the end part, providing an attack angle α lesser than 5° to the horizontal line to the working element, and in the basic part an angle of elevation of weight &bgr; is larger than 40°. |
