FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical polymers, particularly preparation of biocidal compositions which can be used in forming coatings with biocidal, antimicrobial properties on polymer articles. The biocidal composition for coating polymer articles includes polyguanidine compounds, a surfactant, guanidised chitosan, stearalkonium chloride and water. The polyguanidine compound used is polyhexamethylene guanidine chloride or polyhexamethylene guanidine citrate or polyhexamethylene guanidine succinate or polyhexamethylene guanidine gluconate.
