PURPOSE: A smoking detection device is provided to cheaply and simply detect smoking without a separate expert and expensive equipment. CONSTITUTION: A smoking detection device comprises: a support; and a reagent layer which is formed on the upper surface of one side of the support and reacts with nicotine or cotinine. Nicotine or cotinine contained in urine is detected by immersing the reagent layer of the support into urine. The reagent layer contains cyanogen halide which reacts with nicotine or cotinine. Cyanogen halid is selected among cyanogens bromide (CNBr), cyanogens chloride (CNCl), or cyanogens iodine (CNI). |
