摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same, in which a display period of a relevant image signal is adjusted according to a polarity inversion method and a polarity inversion position of a liquid crystal panel capable of detecting touch information, thereby preventing a failure in image display and a degradation in image quality and improving the reliability thereof. The liquid crystal display device comprises: a liquid crystal panel for displaying an image through an image display region and outputting a touch detection signal through a touch detection region formed on the image display region; at least one gate driver for driving gate lines of the image display region; a data driver for dividing the image display region on the basis of preset n horizontal lines (where n is a natural number equal to or greater than two), driving data lines of the image display region, driving the touch detection region, and receiving the touch detection signal; and a timing controller for controlling the at least one gate driver and the data driver such that a supply period of a data voltage is varied during a horizontal period of an n^th unit, in which a polarity of the data voltage supplied to the data lines is inverted, or a horizontal period adjacent to the horizontal period of the n^th unit.</p>
