The present invention relates to a stereoscopic image display device comprising: a display panel for displaying a 2D image or a 3D image; a driving circuit for applying a 2D-format data voltage or a 3D-format data voltage to a pixel matrix of the display panel according to a driving method; a timing controller for controlling the driving circuit in the driving method of a 2D mode or a 3D mode; and a patterned retarder disposed in the front of the display panel to divide a light provided from the display panel into a left circularly polarized light and a right circularly polarized light in the 3D mode. The patterned retarder comprises: a first retarder for transmitting the left circularly polarized light with respect to an odd line of the pixel matrix; a second retarder for transmitting the right circularly polarized light with respect to an even line of the pixel matrix; and a viewing angle pattern prepared between the first retarder and the second retarder, wherein a pattern is formed to reduce a 3D crosstalk. |
