The present invention relates to a technology of providing a passenger service. A method for providing a passenger helper service according to one embodiment of the present invention is performed by a passenger helper server capable of being connected to a passenger client and a guardian client and of being linked to a plurality of image acquisition means installed in a public transportation means. The method for providing a passenger helper service comprises the steps of (a) generating passenger information for a passenger using the boarding information of the passenger provided by the passenger client; (b) setting helper service setting information including at least one among emergency response information and guardian notification information that can be applied to the passenger in previously stored helper service data using the passenger information; and (c) acquiring image information for the passenger from the public transportation means that the passenger boards and performing the emergency response notification or the guardian notification according to the corresponding situation based on the acquired image information when the emergency situation or the guardian notification occurs according to the helper service setting information.
