摘要 <p>The invention relates to a method of viewing a terahertz electromagnetic wave, comprising a step of exposing a material to a terahertz electromagnetic wave having a power density equal to or above a determined power density threshold, in which said material comprises a spin transition compound, said spin transition being associated with a transition of the absorption coefficient of the material in the visible domain which translates as a change in the apparent colour thereof in the visible domain, for viewing the terahertz electromagnetic wave. The invention also relates to a device for viewing a terahertz electromagnetic wave, comprising: a substrate and a layer of material comprising a spin transition compound, said spin transition being associated with a transition of the absorption coefficient of the material in the visible domain which translates as a change in the apparent colour thereof in the visible domain when said layer is exposed to the terahertz electromagnetic wave.</p>
