The present invention relates to an ECV control method of a variable capacity compressor for an air conditioner, for setting an upper limit of ECV duty corresponding to a blower voltage and controlling an ECV based on the calculated ECV duty within the upper limit. The ECV control method of a variable capacity compressor for an air conditioner includes the steps of determining whether the blower voltage has changed; and maintaining or correcting the upper limit of the ECV duty based on the determination result.
