SMART PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED CAMERA AND ATUOMATIC PARKING METHOD THEREOF

A parking assisting system with an integrated camera which can enable a user to safely and automatically park a vehicle at a parking space by avoiding an obstacle, and an automatic parking method thereof are disclosed. The parking assisting system includes a plurality of detection sensors and cameras installed at the vehicle, and a parking control device for controlling the detection sensors and the cameras. The parking control device includes a detection sensor unit for detecting the obstacle existing around the vehicle using the detection sensors; a camera unit for photographing the obstacle by the cameras; an information generating unit for calculating the distance between the obstacle detected by the detection sensor unit and the detection sensor unit to generate first distance information, and generating first image information photographed by the camera unit; an encoding transmitting unit for encoding and transmitting the first distance information and the first image information generated by the information generating unit; an information determination unit for decoding the encoded information received from the encoding transmitting unit to determine second distance information and second image information; and a parking control unit for generating a first warning sound based on the second distance information and the second image information determined by the information determining unit to recognize the parking space.
