The connector has a trough terminal (4) fixed to a vehicle body. An electrical connecting unit (12) is projected into the trough terminal. A laterally integrally molded hinge housing (5) comprises a hinge arm (6) that is protruded at an outer cover (9) such that a pivot axis formed relative to the trough terminal is displaced in an outward direction. An in-side end of the connecting unit is arranged in an inner space of the trough terminal. The outer cover is placed opposite to an edge of the trough terminal and a circumferential seal that is made from soft-elastic material.
