<p>The invention relates to a shut-off valve (1) for the installation field for closing a line through which a liquid can flow, having a housing (2) which has at least two connecting pieces (3), wherein a flow path (S) is defined from one of the connecting pieces (3) through the housing (2) to another of the connecting pieces (3), having a shut-off body (4) that is rotatably arranged in the housing (2) and that has at least one shut-off section (4.1) running crosswise to the flow path (S), wherein the shut-off body (4) can be moved between a closed position in which the flow path (S) is completely blocked and an open position in which the flow path (S) is clear, wherein the at least one shut-off section (4.1) at least partially blocks the flow path (S) to one of the connecting pieces (3) in the closed position and having a switching shaft (5), which is rotatably mounted in the housing (2) and which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner on one end (5.1) thereof to the shut-off body (4). To ensure both the smallest possible dimensions and as complete a drainage as possible, according to the invention the shut-off body (4) comprises only a single shut-off section (4.1), wherein the shut-off body (4) blocks the flow path (S) only to one of the connecting pieces (3) in the closed position, so that the single shut-off section (4.1) completely blocks the flow path (S) and the single shut-off section (4.1) is designed as a spherical segment.</p> |
