<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision injury prediction system capable of predicting an injury in consideration of a secondary collision.SOLUTION: A collision injury prediction system of the present invention includes: an image sensor 2 that detects the position of a human head and the relative speeds of the head in a vehicle lateral direction and vehicle fore-and-aft direction respectively; a distance sensor 3 that detects relative speeds of a human being and vehicle in the vehicle fore-and-aft direction and relative distances thereof; a first collision prediction unit 401 that decides based on results of detections by the image sensor 2 and distance sensor 3 respectively whether a possibility of a primary collision is high; a primary collision discrimination unit 402 that if the primary collision prediction unit 401 decides that the possibility of the primary collision is high, discriminates the position of the human head at the time of the primary collision and the relative speed of the head to the vehicle; a secondary collision inference unit 403 that infers a secondary collision situation from a result of discrimination by the primary collision discrimination unit 402; and an injury level estimation unit 405 that estimates an injury level of the head on the basis of a result of inference by the secondary collision inference unit 403.</p> |
