PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost and size of an electrostatic atomizer mainly mounted in an air conditioner.SOLUTION: An electrostatic atomizer and an air conditioner according to an embodiment includes: a mist discharge pin; and a high-voltage application electrode. The mist discharge pin is constituted by a porous material, carries thereon basic deliquescent substance that does not contain chlorine, absorbs water in the air, and discharges mist. The high-voltage application electrode is constituted by a metal material and applies a high voltage to the mist discharge pin.
