<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope that achieved both smooth insertion into a body cavity and acquisition of a long ultrasonic observation range corresponding to movement of a puncture treatment instrument.SOLUTION: A tip hard part 13 of an ultrasonic endoscope is provided with an observation window 22, a solid imaging element 24 and an ultrasonic transducer array 27. The tip hard part 13 is formed in a truncated cone shape having an outside diameter gradually contracting toward a tip surface 13a from a base end side adjacent to a bending part 14. The observation window 22 is arranged on the tip surface 13a. In the tip hard part 13, a portion of its outer peripheral surface is connected to a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the bending part 14 linearly parallel to an axis line of the bending part 14, and the ultrasonic transducer array 27 is arranged in a form of tilting relative to the axis line of the bending part 14. A treatment instrument lead-out port 30 is arranged on a base end side of the ultrasonic transducer array 27.</p> |
